Vehicle detection and tracking for collision avoidance systems Vehicle detection and tracking is becoming a reality using only vision sensors, which can be installed onboard vehicles due to their low weight and cost, and the increased capabilities of embedded processors. In Vicomtech we are working on deploying vehicle detection systems that are able to determine the position, size and speed of multiple vehicles in highways under variable weather conditions, presence of wipers, etc. The methods are being designed to work real-time and to be integrated in low power embedded computers.

Using a common mobile device and a simple standard device support, a driver can use different driver assistance systems with any hard configurations.
